This music video is essentially a portrait of the Tuesday night “Adult Skate” regulars at the Holiday Skating Center in NJ. I was always so inspired by these folks whose love of rollerskating has followed some into their 70′s and 80′s and I was happy to get the chance to do something with them.

"Makin' It!" was a site-specific interactive video installation commissioned by curator Lauren Van Haaften-Schick for MATINEE!, a group video art show in the remains of St Cecilia's Convent in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
A projection of a wall in St. Cecilia's was projected back onto itself at full size. A prayer table was in the middle of the room and when visitors would light a candle on the table it would trigger the projection to switch over into a series of young celebrities talking about their hopes for fame, fortune, and making it in the industry. The projection would return to the wall as soon as the candle was blown out. The interactive patch was written by Nick Lally who collaborated on the project.
A short documentary made for public television about the controversial police shooting death of Timothy Goode. Goode was the nephew to the first African-American mayor of Philadelphia, Wilson Goode, who presided over the infamous MOVE bombing in 1985. Police claim Goode was carrying a gun but witnesses claimed he had no weapons and was running with his back turned to the officer. This video is a short excerpt from the film.
